God Cares of Orphans, Widows and Strangers
The Bible says that our God “defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing.”

The children in the orphanage
Deuteronomy 10:16-20 says, “(18) He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing. (19) And you are to love those who are aliens, for you yourselves were aliens in Egypt.”
If God loves and cares of orphans, widows and strangers, then isn't it natural for us to love and take care of orphans, widows, and strangers?
We, ILM (International Livingway Mission), set this Bible verses as our mission goal and pray for this work and do our best to help those in need according to the Word of the Lord.
There are 35 orphans in Israel who escaped from Ukraine as a life-and-death decision due to the war in Ukraine.
At 5:00 am on February 24, 2022, staff and children at the Alumim orphanage in Zhitomer were thrown out of bed by an explosion. The Russians were bombing a nearby army base. A fearful war has begun.
By many miracles, orphans and employees escaped Ukraine with only clothes, food and passports. All they possessed were some clothes, food, and passports. That was all.
Four days later, they arrived safely in Romania as refugees. This is where they met the ISRAEL365 team.
The ISRAEL365 charitable donors were more than happy to hear about the orphanage and open their hearts and pockets. Together, they provided food and toys to children waiting for their flight to Israel.
Less than a week later, the orphanage arrived in Israel and temporarily settled on a quiet campus in Judean Hills. While there, ISRAEL365's amazing donors opened their hearts again.
Together, the ISRAEL365 team bought clothes for the orphans and covered their education, transportation, and medical expenses. They have also equipped the orphanage's kitchen with new appliances and utensils. It can be imagined that the ISRAEL365 team has a beautiful relationship with the children and staff of the orphanage.
Just a few months ago, the orphanage moved into a permanent home in the Israeli city of Ashkelon.
The kids are happy to finally settle down. They are attending quality schools, making new friends, and adjusting to life in Israel.
But despite all these blessings, they still need more help!
Most of these lovely orphans have been abandoned by their failing parents and are facing the days of life in Israel.
One thing we must remember is that they are immigrants who are still living in a foreign culture who speak very little Hebrew. They need to build confidence and life skills going forward in order to succeed in Israel.
If all goes well, they will have a happy married life ahead in Israel, an trustful life, and a wonderful life of service to God in the Holy Land. But if not, we won't even want to imagine their lives in the future. We should try to avoid “what if” options.
These orphans will succeed because you and I will help them! We will give them the ongoing support they need to live a beautiful life!
This support is very basic, such as clothing, food, school supplies, and medical care. Nothing more dramatic here. It is a daily routine that every child needs to lead a normal, healthy life.
Wouldn’t it be nice to read the words of the Book of Job and confess, “I was like that too”?
“Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.” (Job 29:12, NIV)
We pray that we will provide these orphans with their basic needs and help them live a healthy life in Israel.
We pray that they grow up healthy physically, mentally and spiritually without wrinkles.
We pray that they will be successful in the future and live a life that brings glory to God.
We would like to ask you to join us in prayer.
