Israel is under attack by Hamas and desperately needs your help.

What we are experiencing now is unthinkable and unimaginable. The fear, the disaster, the pain, it's more than we can bear. Parents and children were massacred, elderly people and their nurses were massacred. Teenagers massacred and kidnapped at outdoor music festival.

Those who are far from the area and those who do not understand the seriousness of this horrific crime! This is Israel's 9/11.

Frankly, I cannot express in words the war crimes that are being committed against my fellow Jews as I write this. All over Israel, sons and fathers are running to the battlefield. The situation is so serious that reservists are also stepping in. Yesterday I stood on my front porch and watched my neighbor's son and husband tearfully bid farewell to their mothers and wives and run to join me in battle.

Some of our loved one's children were injured and some were missing. We are living in a nightmare. Israel is facing a crisis that many of us have never experienced in our lifetimes.

It is no longer enough to just be “pro-Israel” in words. We live in desperate times when defenders of goodness and truth must rise up and act. Please do not turn away.

We desperately need your help.

Here are practical steps you can take to support Israel during this terrible time:

• Please pray for Israel with all your heart.

• Please donate to save lives in Israel. Please donate what you can to save lives in Israel. Your donation will provide emergency shelters to vulnerable local communities, help families in southern Israel seeking refuge, provide personal essential items, and support soldiers on the front lines.

• Get your church involved.

• Demand that the United States fully stand with Israel. It is only a matter of time before President Biden and the U.S. government put pressure on Israel to stop retaliating against the Hamas militant group. Already the European Union is calling for an end to attacks by Hamas militants, even though they are holding dozens of Israeli citizens hostage. “The EU calls for an immediate halt to these senseless attacks and violence, which will further escalate tensions on the ground and seriously undermine the aspirations of the Palestinian people for peace,” the EU said in an official statement.

The only way for Israel to defeat the Hamas militant group is to completely and finally destroy them. It is imperative that the United States support Israel's rights so that Israel can exterminate this evil armed group.

You can help! Contact the White House online or by phone now and demand that America support Israel's right to destroy this evil terrorist group and ensure that this tragedy is never repeated. Please contact your senators and representatives.

• Be a leader. Please ask your friends to stand with Israel.
